Faux Spy was built after seeing how easy it had become to flood dating apps and social media with AI-generated faces. Romance scammers, catfishers, and fake influencers were using tools that took seconds to create convincing fake profiles — and most people had no way to check.
Faux Spy is a Chrome extension that lets you right-click any image and instantly know if it's real or AI-generated. It works on Instagram, Tinder, LinkedIn, X, and anywhere images appear. No uploads, no accounts — just a quick verdict while you browse.
The goal is simple: give regular people the same detection tools that researchers use, at zero friction.
